Not sure if this will help, but I once encountered a similar issue with my xbox 360 after changing the entire shell dvd drive to ghostly blue. what would happen is that the drive wouldn#39;t spin the disc. the reason -- the magnet had gotten stuck. it needs to go in the center or the drive won#39;t spin the disc. 3 0. I got some Sony BD-RE discs v.2.1 and my PS3 will not even spin them. They play just fine in the computer. The PS3 will read my memorex discs and my BD-R DL Sony discs just fine.
